We received our first document back today from the SD Secretary of State's office. Our remaining documents are on their way back from MN, MO, and FL, and we hope to have everythng back by the end of this week. So far, this stage of the paper chase is going well, and I hope it continues as the documents proceed to the US Department of State (SD Documents), and the Chinese Consulate offices. As we are dealing with 4 different states, we will be sending them on to three different Consulate offices. (Chicago, Houston, and Washington DC)
Look for more posts once that stage has started.

Documents were received by the Chinese Consulate in Chicago today for their authentication of our documents from MN and MO.
Also, our certificate of marriage had to be authenticated by the US Dept. of State, which was processed last week, and should be back in our hands this Thursday.
US Dept of State authentication was received back yesterday, and is now on its way to the Chinese Embassy.
Our MN and MO documents are on their way back from the Chinese Consulate in Chicago, so that portion of the processing appears to be complete.
We have three documents left in the authentication stage, so hopefully we are still on track to have our dossier submitted in July.
We received our documents back from the Consulate office in Chicago today. The processing time seemed very quick, and was not a problem at all.
Our marriage certificate was received by the Chinese Embassy in DC today, and our Florida document was received by the Consulate office in Houston as well. All documents except the 171-H should be completed by the end of this week.
Our document from the Chinese Embassy in DC was received today. Our Houston Consulate authentication will be delivered to us tomorrow. This just leaves one document yet from the Chicago Consulate office and our 171-H.
