All documents, except for the 171-H, are completed and ready to be submitted in our dossier!! We are entering week 3 on the I-600A processing, and hope to hear something back from the USCIS very soon. If all continues to go well, our goal is still to have our dossier submitted to China in July.

No new updates really on the 171-H. We are in week four now and still waiting. Everything else is ready to be submitted to China, so we are praying that this form arrives soon.

Once the dossier is submitted, we wait and wait and wait. Currently, the processing of a dossier in China is taking just under 12 months before a child is referred to a prospective family. Just a few months ago, it was taking 8-10 months to process, but has obviously stretched out a little.
Once we receive a referral, it is probably another 8 weeks before we will travel to China to make the adoption final.
Needless to say, we will most likely not be heading to China until late summer or even fall of 2007. It will truly be worth the wait.
