Bai was given to her based on the name of the city she was found, Dianbai. It means white.
Yu means Jade.
Fen means sweet/fragrance.
We have also found some families, thanks to Google, that have adopted from Dianbai. The orphanage takes very good care of the children, which was very comforting to hear. We even received a contact name of a physician in Kansas City that may be able to assist in Avery's cleft lip surgery.
What a blessing, and it never ceases to amaze us how good God is!

Hi Brian and Jeanie,
I got to see a picture of your baby girl today at your mom's office, Brian. What a beauty and she sounds so fortunate to be a part of your family.
Baby #3 at our house is 6 months old and was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. Our other 2 kids took it all in stride as well. Grayson has had 2 surgeries so far and is doing great.
One little word of advice, take a ton of pictures of Avery before, during, and after her surgeries. You will love her just the way she is and a small piece of you will be sad to let it go when she has her lip repaired. We got this same advice from another parent, and I am so thankful that we followed it.
Congratulations on your new addition.
