Homestudy Update Tomorrow

We are getting ready for tomorrow's homestudy update and it has been no where near as crazy when compared to the first homestudy almost one and one half years ago. It was a mad scramble to get the house cleaned and organized before our social worker arrived. Now there was still cleaning and organizing, but nothing as frantic as last time.

It is exciting to get this process done and get the updated report in our hands. That will allow us to file another I600A with the USCIS, just in case our current approval (171H) expires before we travel to China to get Avery.

As far as any new news on the adoption, we did find out that all of our adoption processing will take place in Guangzhou, compared to spending a few days in the child's home town to complete the adoption, and the second portion of the trip in Guangzhou to prepare to bring the child home. We will have the option to take a side trip to Avery's home town, but it will not be a required part of the adoption process. As we get closer to our trip we'll know more about our travel itinerary and if we'll have time to take a special trip to Dianbai.
