The moment we've been waiting for is almost here. It's hard to believe after waiting for so long.
At 3:00 this afternoon, we will travel to the Civil Affairs office with the rest of our travel group. Our appointment is at 3:30, but it really depends on when the children arrive from their orphanages.
In China, the adoption will be finalized the next day. We were told that China requires the one day delay to let us decide if we want to continue with the adoption. We're pretty sure that it will be an easy decision!!
Tuesday we will head back to the Civil Affairs office to finalize the adoption. At that point she is legally our child. After the appointment, we are heading to some local markets for sightseeing and shopping.
The following days will consist of some paperwork, a Dr. appointment, visit to a Chinese Police Department to apply for Avery's passport, and probably more paperwork. All this in preparation of our appointment at the US Consulate next Thursday.

Caedon and I were just checking to see if you had Avery yet. We can't wait to see pictures! Caedon misses you so much. We will keep checking.....Michelle
