Another I-600A Is Off To Kansas City

Today we received the last two pieces to be attached to our home study update. The rest of the package has been ready to mail since last Thursday. The I-600A is now on the way to the USCIS office in Kansas City.

If we travel and return to the US before January 6, 2008, then this latest request won't matter at all. Our current approval expires on 1/6/08. As we may be travelling after that time, we need to be sure our approval is current, thus the new I-600A. Hopefully the review and approval process is a little quicker than the last time. We got caught up in USCIS staff medical leave and vacations, so our paperwork sat a little longer than it needed to. The KC office is fantastic to work with, and are very supportive of adoption processing. We even have a contact within their office, so we can check on the status of our application if things seem to be taking too long.

No news from China yet...so we are still patiently waiting.
