We received an update from our agency today regarding Avery's lip repair surgery, and also received some pictures that were taken yesterday! (A very special thank you to Richard at our agency for obtaining this updated information!!!)
It was confirmed that Avery had her lip repaired in the city of Dongguan, which is very close to Guangzhou. Guangzhou is where we will be spending most of our time for the adoption processing. She is still in Dongguan at the hospital, and may stay there until we get her, but that is not confirmed at the time. It appears that it may be easier to keep her there instead of taking two pretty lengthy trips to bring her back to the orphanage, then turn right back around and bring her to Guangzhou for the adoption.
We are thrilled with the pictures and are amazed at how she has changed from her referral photos.
Hopefully we will have travel information very soon, and will be ready to pack for China!

She looks like she is ready for some fun! How adorable! Tis the season for celebration! Jeanne, you left your birthday out of there. I'm sure the boys don't mind celebrating their birthdays early. I hope you are celebrating yours as well. Avery is a very special gift for all of you. We are excited for your journey. Each day brings you closer to your little girl.
