We Made It To Guangzhou!

After 26 hours of airports and airplanes, we finally landed in our hotel room at the Victory hotel in Guangzhou. At 10:00 PM it felt very warm and muggy, at least to someone from Missouri.

Lots and lots of people, and everyone we have dealt with has been very nice with great customer service. We even met a 2 year old boy, Raymond, from San Francisco that was flying with his family to Guangzhou to see his grandparents. He was full of life and energy and talked to Jeanne and me for a good portion of the flight. The best part was that his dad had to interpret for us at times, as Raymond spoke English and Mandarin Chinese...and mixed both languages in the same sentence at times. He was lots of fun, and sure made the last leg of our journey enjoyable.

We are on our own tomorrow, and then the rest of our travel group arrives on Sunday. Then Monday is the day we have been waiting for for a VERY long time.

Keep checking and we'll have more updates to share.

So glad you made it! We've been praying for you. It seems as though we've known Avery forever, and we cannot wait to meet her. Stay safe and enjoy China.
